Baseball referees used to sit in rocking chairs to officiate games. Is that a fact...or just plain foolish? Learn the answer and lots of other out-of-this-world facts in this hilarious game!
What's Included
- 20+ page slideshow with directions, 10 true or false statements, and the answers for each statement
- Answer recording worksheet for students
- Printable directions for play plus alternative game options
How to Play
The object of the game is to correctly guess whether each statement is true (fact) or false (foolish).
Display the slideshow and read the directions aloud to the class.
Students will record their guesses on the worksheet after reading each question. Move to the next slide to reveal the correct answer.
At the end of the slideshow, have students count the number of questions they answered correctly and write the total at the bottom of their papers. The student with the highest score wins!
Alternative game play: Display the questions and have students move to the left side of the room for fact and the right for fiction. You could also have them stand up for fact and sit down for fiction. These game options would allow for more movement in the classroom, making them great brain boosters!
